So yesterday I went to mail Nuri two DVDs(Passions clips) I burnt for her. Went to the pharmacy and they didnt have the padded envelope I wanted so I bought the one they had went to the post office, got it weighed and priced at $824 but the envelope kept opening so I left to check surrounding stores for the envelope I wanted, couldnt find it. I realized the time and ran to work, called the bf and he said he could take me to the mall near my office so I fugured everything was fine.

When I came to work found out I couldnt leave and the bf called to cancel cuz he had to go on the other side of town. So I'm bummed cuz I really wanted to send it but I'd had to wait until the next day(ie today to do it).

So it's today, I go to my mall at like 9 and most of the stores aren't opened until 10, I can't wait that long I got work so I head to the mall near my office. I arrived a coupla minutes before 10 and the book store doesn't open till then so I walk around a bit then finally get in. Found my envelopes and asked where the post office was, yay! it was just across the street.

I'm at the PO writing up the envelope and stuff and I hand it to the cashier or watever theyre called and she weighs it. Then she's like, maybe you should send this as a small gift or package that way it would be cheaper. I'm like how much cheaper? She said as regular mail it would be $712 and as the small package it would be $70. Yep, $70, HUGE difference. I wonder why the the lady at the other post office didnt tell me that one. All I had to do was to fill out a little customs form telling them what's in it. I was tempted to write porn DVDs but I behaved and wrote data DVDs.

Moral of the story: that crap about cloud and silver lining and door closing and window opening is sometimes true
